Employer: Lehman Pipe and Plumbing Supply LLC POSITION SUMMARY The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective management of inventory, logistics, and staff. This role drives operational excellence through process improvement, team leadership, and the consistent execution of best practices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operations Management: - Oversee receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping activities - Ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments - Monitor KPIs and implement improvements Leadership & Team Management: - Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff - Manage staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning - Conduct performance evaluations Inventory & Systems Control: - Maintain inventory accuracy through audits and cycle counts - Manage warehouse systems (WMS) Safety & Compliance: - Enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance - Conduct safety training and inspections Process Improvement & Cost Management: - Identify cost-saving opportunities - Implement process improvements Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: - Coordinate with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal teams QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree preferred - 5+ years of warehouse operations experience - 3+ years in a leadership role Skills & Competencies: - Strong leadership and organizational skills - Problem-solving and decision-making abilities - WMS and inventory management knowledge Technical Skills: - Microsoft Office proficiency - ERP/WMS systems experience preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs WORK ENVIRONMENT - Warehouse setting with varying temperatures - May require extended hours or weekends
Requirements
Candidates should have at least 5 years of warehouse operations experience and 3 years in a leadership role. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with proficiency in WMS/ERP systems and strong organizational skills.
