Job Description
Employer: Donovan Marine JOB SUMMARY: The Order Picker will retrieve stock to fill customer orders and transport items to the shipping desk for packing. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * None. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: * Receives orders from the order desk and retrieves goods from warehouse. * Checks packing list for accuracy and inspects collected goods. * Delivers materials to packing desk for packing and updates computer ordering system. * Uses an order-picker truck, cherry pickers, pallet jacks to pull orders when needed. * Follows safety rules for warehouse when picking an order. * Performs other related duties as assigned. * Safely operate equipment and adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols * Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard forklifts, and order-picker forklifts when needed. * Strong reading and communication skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Six months of experience in warehouse operations preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must be in good physical condition and have good motor skills. * Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. * Must have good hand/eye coordination.
Requirements
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess the physical ability to lift 50 pounds. Experience in warehouse operations is preferred, along with the ability to operate various materials handling equipment.
