Job Description
Employer: James Avery Artisan Jewelry Job Summary The Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, picking, packing and shipping orders and supplies, while delivering and replenishing inventory. Maintains safety standards while supporting efficient order fulfillment and supply warehouse operations. Essential Functions •Receives and stores merchandise, supplies and printed materials in designated warehouse locations. •Loads, unloads and moves materials safely and efficiently. •Picks and packages supplies accurately and efficiently to fulfill orders. •Performs cycle counts. •Prepares and processes shipments to James Avery retail stores, suppliers or vendors using shipping applications, including accurately weighing, labeling and documenting packages and shipping containers. •Performs transactions in Oracle as needed. •Operates forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. •Follows safety, quality and operational procedures. •Provides department support and performs additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications •Warehouse or distribution center experience. •Must have valid State Driver's License and be able to meet James Avery’s driving requirements. •Ability to safely lift, load and deliver items up to 55 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. •Ability to obtain forklift and warehouse equipment certification. •Ability to apply basic logic and understanding to carry out detailed instructions in written, verbal or diagram form. •Strong problem-solving skills. •Basic computer proficiency with ability to quickly learn new technology & equipment. •Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and manage frequent interruptions. •Ability to travel to various work department locations for deliveries. •Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, weekends and evenings. Preferred Qualifications •Courier and/or delivery experience.
Requirements
Candidates must have previous warehouse or distribution experience and a valid driver's license. The role requires the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and the capacity to obtain forklift certification.
