General Purpose: We are more than a warehouse - we're the heartbeat of getting our products into the hands of people who care about the planet. As a Material Handler, you'll keep things moving smoothly by helping pick, pack and potentially ship orders, keeping our warehouse organized, and making sure every customer receives their order with care. Organizational Chart / Reporting Relationship: Supervision Exercised: None Supervision Received: Manager, Distribution Essential Functions: Loading & Unloading Trucks: Assists in loading and unloading and palletizing goods shipping or received via shipping containers Packing and Order Shipping: Pick, pack, and ship orders to customer specifications Assembly: Re-work product packaging and assemble inventory kits as needed Duties / Responsibilities to accomplish Essential Functions: Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Leadership and Collaboration: Actively supports a culture of accountability while maintaining the camaraderie and friendly nature so valued by the staff and leadership team of Klean Kanteen Fosters a culture of transparency with the team and consumers of Klean Kanteen. Follows departmental processes and procedures Measures and monitors progress against objectives and performance targets. Mission and Values: Is a champion and advocate of the mission in all actions and interactions with our customers, partners and staff Actively supports Klean Kanteen values Load/Unload Trucks: Assists in unloading and palletizing goods received via shipping containers Ensures product is accurately staged while unloading Ensures pallet configurations are built to Distributions desired specifications Picking, Packing and Order Shipping: Use WMS software and hardware to pick inventory for restock, sales orders, and staging Responsible for processing basic level shipments Assembly: Re-work product packaging Assemble inventory kits Customer compliance assembly, as needed Safety: Follows all Klean Kanteen, local, state, and federal safety requirements, rules and regulations Warehouse Maintenance: Keeps work area clean and free of clutter Assists in warehouse cleaning Assists in facility upkeep internally and externally Assists in warehouse optimization/organization, as needed Job Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills General computer knowledge Attention to detail Data entry Strong problem solving skills Excellent time management abilities Flexibility and ability to multi-task Education or Formal Training: High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to read and communicate in English Experience: Direct or relevant combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities in qualifying. 1-2 years warehouse experience, preferred 1-2 years shipping experience, preferred Material and Equipment Directly Used: Computer Printers: Direct Thermal / Laser Printer SAGE ERP computer software Starship shipping software Tape Gun Pallet Jack Retractable knife Dolly Working Environment/Physical Activities: Standard business / warehouse environment Bending, and reaching forward, sideways, and overhead; Finger dexterity to perform functions on computer and access files Standing for long periods at a time Lifting 50 lbs Work in all weather conditions Sustain intense physical activity for duration of 2 hours while unloading a freight container EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER COMMITTED TO DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION / AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT COMPLIANT / VETERANS’ PREFERENCE POLICY / DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and the ability to read and communicate in English. Previous warehouse or shipping experience of 1-2 years is preferred, along with the physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
