Job Description
Employer: House of Cheatham, LLC Description We are seeking a recently certified stand up forklift operator to work in our shipping department. · Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage, production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or utilizing the proper forklift. · Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information · Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. · Stage materials in locations such as transit areas using pallets or cargo boards · Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets · Record damage reports and maintain daily logs · Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse to ensure timely and complete delivery · Weigh, wrap, and box materials · Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning and recharging batteries · Utilize proper alerts and other safety measures when operating equipment · Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected · Maintain a clean and safe workspace, moving waste to dumpsters as needed Requirements · 2 yr experience operating forklifts · Must have achieved prior certification (will be certified on site) · Read, write and communicate in English · Good oral and written communication skills Must be reliable !
Requirements
Candidates must have at least two years of experience operating forklifts and possess a prior certification. Strong English communication skills and the ability to follow oral or written instructions are required.
