Employer: Tower Extrusions, LLC Description About the Role Tower Extrusions, LLC. is a privately owned aluminum extrusion company that has been in business for over 40 years. We have seen tremendous growth over that time and are looking to add to our team at our Wylie, TX location. We are hiring a Shipping Loader (Forklift) to safely load outbound trailers at our Wylie, TX facility. This role stages material, builds safe and stable loads, and works closely with the shipping supervisor and shipping clerk throughout the shift. Key Responsibilities • Complete daily forklift inspection checklists and report safety issues immediately • Perform operator-level preventive maintenance on the forklift • Coordinate with the shipping supervisor and shipping clerk on assigned loads • Sort and stage bundles on the shipping floor for loading • Report damaged bundles immediately • Build loads based on bundle weight, bundle dimensions, and dies in bundles • Secure loads with belly straps, corner protectors, and sufficient strapping for transport within the yard • Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the shipping supervisor or manager What We Offer • Weekly pay • Medical, dental, and vision benefits • 401(k) retirement plan • Holiday and vacation pay Requirements Requirements • Must be certified, or become certified, to operate a forklift through the safety department • Preferred: 1+ year of verifiable forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse facility • Must be able to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds and move about the plant and yard • Must be able to work required overtime; day and night shifts available
