Job Description
Employer: Braswell Milling Company Inc Position Summary The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will work with Transportation & Warehouse Manager to coordinate all incoming & outgoing shipments for CEC (Carolina Egg Company). Be aware of warehouse health/safety, food safety requirements. Work to maintain strategic relationships with existing customers as well as new customers and our transportation warehouse departments JOB DUTIES * Prepares shipments and correspondence; fulfilling customer needs to exceed customer satisfaction. * Follows vendor agreements and supports new customer protocols. * Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint. Will need to discern what items they can handle and what items to take to their leadership * Helps to manage customer correspondence (calls & emails) regarding orders and deliveries. * Identifies and assesses customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction. * Builds sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication. Goes the extra mile to engage customers. * Provides accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools. * Promotes constant motivation among staff to strive for efficient and effective warehouse operations. * Manages IGPS pallet account and ensuring timely orders are submitted * Notifies Customer Service of any shorts * Schedules delivery appointments * Serves as back-up for scheduling of outside carriers Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION * B.S. in Business (preferred) And/or * Preferred: Minimum five years of experience in warehouse administration or customer service OTHER REQUIRMENTS * Demonstrated leadership as part of a cross-functional team. * Proven ability to function in a positive and collaborative manner with a seasoned team. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with great active listener abilities * Sound planning and organizational skills. * High level of proficiency in PC spreadsheets and ERP/MRP/EDI systems. * Assist with profit and loss metrics to facilitate key performance indicators. * Experience with office machines to include calculator, copier, computer & fax machine. * Proven customer support experience * Track record of over-achieving * Familiar with CRM systems and practices * Customer focused orientation and ability to adapt/respond to diverse personalities * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Must be able to adapt to office work environments which could include cold and heat. Individual will be exposed to high noise levels. Data entry while sitting for greater than one (1) hour. Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, odor and other environment specific atmospheres. Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business and at least five years of experience in warehouse administration or customer service. Proficiency in PC spreadsheets, ERP/MRP/EDI systems, and strong organizational skills are required to succeed in this role.
