Job Description
Employer: Consolidated Equipment Group Material Handler / Order Picker Responsibilities: * Picking out ordered items from storage shelves or rooms using part number, locations, and quantities * Sort and package pull parts by subassemblies for final assembly steps * Operating handling equipment (fork-lifts, pallet jacks) according to industrial safety regulations * Operate Cranes and lifts * Work with Purchasing to verify stock inventory levels * Count parts as needed or requested * Perform general warehouse duties as necessary * Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage * Receive and check incoming pick tickets * Retrieve orders according to quantity ensuring accuracy * Build pallets with orders and position them for fabrication and assembly * Re-stock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment * Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards * Consolidate materials per order from other manufacturing operations i.e.-plasma, saw, machining * Move Material from one process area to the next * Monitor shipping and production schedules to determine what to do next * Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications for Assembler: * Proven experience as order picker or other warehouse position preferred * Experience or license in handling materials with Forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment * Experience with Material Resource Planning software a plus * Able to read and write in English * Great attention to detail * Diligent and punctual * Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly. * High School diploma or equivalent is preferred * Able to pass fork truck driving test and operate overhead crane for heavy lifting. * Will have 60-day probationary period and review to be hired into a full-time position. Additional Responsibilities When Not Assembling: * The following additional responsibilities of Order Picker may be assigned by the shop manager: * Cut and Crimp Hoses per specification * Repair drive head gear boxes and motors * Train and educate other as needed * Assist the other crew members in performing their duties as directed (paint, shipping, etc). * Housekeeping Job Type: Full-time Schedule: * 8 hour shift: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Benefits: * IRA with 3% match after 6 months Anniversary * Dental insurance, Health insurance provided at no cost to employee (no guarantee but free for now) * Paid time off, 2 weeks vacation; 1 week PTO & 1 week of sick time first year. * Vision insurance * 8 paid Holidays
Requirements
Candidates should have prior warehouse or order picking experience and the ability to operate material handling equipment safely. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
