Employer: Vicente’s Supermarket Produce Packer (Part-Time) Location: Roxbury, MA 02119 Job Description We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Produce Packer to join our team in Roxbury, MA. The Produce Packer is responsible for sorting, packaging, labeling, and stocking fresh fruits and vegetables in a clean and efficient manner. Responsibilities * Sort, clean, and package fresh produce for display * Label packages accurately with product names, weights, and sell-by dates * Refill and rotate produce displays using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method * Maintain cleanliness of the packing area, tools, and storage coolers * Follow store guidelines on packaging types, branding, and pricing * Assist with receiving and unloading produce shipments * Communicate shortages, overripe produce, or damaged items to supervisors * Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and store policies * Support other produce department tasks as needed (e.g., trimming, organizing) Qualifications * Experience as a Produce Packer or in a similar role preferred. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. * Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness. * Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. * Good communication and teamwork skills * Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts * Strong attention to detail and quality control * Basic math and reading skills for weights and labels
Requirements
Candidates should have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience as a Produce Packer is preferred, along with basic math and reading skills.
