Job Description
Employer: Slaymaker Electric Motor Service Description As a Material Handler, you’ll play an important role in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly. You’ll work with our Inventory & Purchasing team to receive materials, organize inventory, stage materials for technicians and projects, and keep our warehouse and storage areas clean and efficient. What You’ll Do Receive and unload incoming materials and deliveries Verify materials against packing slips and receiving documents Organize, label, and put away inventory Pull and stage materials for technicians, service calls, and projects Handle electrical supplies, motors, pumps, wire, conduit, fittings, and other materials Load and unload technician vehicles and deliveries Return unused materials to the correct inventory locations Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate material locations Keep warehouse, receiving, staging, and storage areas clean and organized Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment Communicate damaged, missing, incorrect, or low-stock materials Help wherever needed to keep materials and jobs moving efficiently What We’re Looking For Dependable and ready to work Organized with strong attention to detail Comfortable working in a hands-on, physical environment Able to work independently and as part of a team Willing to learn our inventory processes and computer systems Previous warehouse, material handling, construction, electrical supply, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience is a plus Forklift experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person Ability to regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. Requirements
Candidates should be dependable, organized, and capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. Previous experience in warehouse, construction, or electrical supply environments is preferred, though training is available for the right individual.
