Employer: Erlen Group Material Handler I Reports to: Warehouse Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Work a consistent 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM day shift with a bi-weekly schedule. Only work 14 days a month! * Week 1: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on = 48 hours * Week 2: 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off = 36 hours * Built-in Overtime: Any hours worked over 40 hours in a week are paid at 1.5x your base rate The Erlen Group of companies exist to maximize long-term shareholder value by providing goods and services with honesty, integrity and fairness to our team, our communities and our clients. Material Handler Job Summary: This position is responsible for accurately handling inbound, storage, and outbound product for a wide range of clients. The person occupying this position is responsible for checking loads in and out along with verifying products on bills of lading and shipping documents. Material Handler Essential Duties/Responsibilities: * Move, load, and unload food products, materials, and/or packages by hand, pallet jack, or forklift from trains, railcars, and trailers * Handle paperwork and use scanners to ship and receive clients’ food product accurately * Pick orders, select products, and control inventory as necessary * Transfer data manually and electronically to co-workers and Inventory Control Team * Monitor warehouse inventory through cycle counts * Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse through various assigned sanitation duties * Follow Safety and Food Safety Polices & Procedures. Material Handler Skills/Abilities: * Attention to detail and strong mathematical abilities Material Handler Education and Experience: * Required: One year of warehouse experience * Required: Forklift experience Material Handler Physical and/or Travel Requirements: * Prolonged periods sitting on a forklift in cold and extreme cold conditions * Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds at a time Material Handler Benefits: * Paid time off and Holidays * Simplified Employee Pension Plan * Health Insurance * Group Life Insurance * Tuition Reimbursement * Gallup Leadership Development training Erlen Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements
Candidates must have at least one year of warehouse experience and prior experience operating a forklift. The role requires the physical ability to lift 50-75 pounds and work in cold storage environments.
