Job Description
Employer: Specialized Packaging Group Job Title Warehouse Material Handler Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Material Handler to ensure the safe and efficient flow of materials. You will be responsible for loading/unloading freight, picking orders, and organizing stock within our warehouse. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and prioritizes workplace safety. Key Responsibilities * Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing freight from trucks and shipping containers. * Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage materials and products accurately for timely distribution. * Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. * Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory counts, scan barcodes using RF scanners, and update Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). * Quality & Safety: Inspect products for damage, verify against purchase orders, and strictly adhere to all safety and compliance regulations. * Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following standard 5S or lean methodology. Qualifications & Requirements * Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. * Experience: 1+ years of warehouse or material handling experience preferred. * Equipment: Valid forklift certification is highly preferred, with a strong willingness to train and operate warehouse machinery. * Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding labor, stand and walk for extended periods, and frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs. * Technology Skills: Basic computer skills and experience utilizing inventory management software or RF scanners. * Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Work Environment & Schedule * Work Setting: Fast-paced warehouse/distribution center environment. * Schedule: Full-time or part-time options available, including standard shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends during peak seasons. Requirements
Candidates must have a high school diploma and at least one year of warehouse experience. Proficiency in operating material handling equipment and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are required.
