Job Description
Employer: PS SEASONING & SPICES INC Profile: This position requires a self-motivated, reliable employee to join our Shipping Receiving Department. This position reports to the production supervisor, supporting the company’s production facility with the responsibilities that are included below. Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions: * Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations. * Verify, identify and inspect incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operations to ensure that specifications are met, including documentation accuracy. * Load materials and products into inventory system; monitors First In – First Out inventory transactions. * Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule. * Responsible for quality control – no product damaged * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids) with forklift. * Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and safety programs. * Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment. * Performs other related duties as assigned Required Skills and Qualifications: · Excellent verbal communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail. · Good math skills required · Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks as needed with efficient time management skills. · Physical requirements include lifting, carrying and climbing up to 60 lbs. consistently. · Other requirements are bending, standing, walking, sitting and climbing frequently. · Ability to work independently or with a team 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Requirements
Candidates must have good math and communication skills with the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. The role requires flexibility to work a 2nd shift schedule and the ability to operate a forklift safely.
