Employer: Vanguard Packaging Inc JOB SUMMARY The Logistics Scheduler is responsible for assigning dock appointments for all outbound loads with carriers, brokers, or customers. DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Ability to learn and operate inventory warehouse management system effectively, including, but not limited to, creating ship orders, outbounds, and using item locator * Communicate with carriers, brokers, and customers daily to provide dock appointments for all outbound loads * Update ship order information and company portal as needed * Create packets for team on shipping docks that includes ship order and required labels or placards * Communicate directions and dock assignments with external truck drivers daily * Ensure accuracy of all shipping documents prior to providing to external truck drivers * Provide carriers, brokers, and customers with signed shipping documents via email or shared folder * Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety rules * Must have good English written and verbal communication skills * Good arithmetic skills are required * General proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) * Willingness to work a flexible schedule if necessary * Attendance is an essential function of the role OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBLITIES * Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess strong English communication and arithmetic skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn warehouse management systems are required.
