Provides support and some supervision to regular and temporary warehouse associate functions. Works closely with Operations Supervisors to ensure employee productivity expectations are met. Job Responsibilities: • Primary trainer for Clamp Truck operators (new hires or retraining) • Root Cause investigations of product placement and Associate handling • Can identify and audit associate processes and then coach on improvement • Executes & provides process & project visibility to Operations Supervisor • Expert in warehouse functions • Leads & complies with Safety and Well Being efforts on assigned shift • Loads and unloads trailers with a stand up electric clamp truck • Opens and closes dock doors • Move materials within the warehouse • Complies with all safety requirements • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system • Quality control • Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received • Communicate with associates from other shifts • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs • Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor About Penske Logistics Penske Logistics engineers state-of-the-art transportation, warehousing and supply chain management solutions that deliver powerful business results for market-leading companies. Requirements
Candidates must have at least 4 years of warehouse experience and the ability to operate a stand-up electric clamp truck. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions are required.
