Job Description

Employer: KITO CROSBY JOB SUMMARY The Material Handler is responsible for safely and accurately moving, storing, receiving, and distributing materials, supplies, and equipment within a manufacturing environment. This position supports production by maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring materials are available when needed. RESPONSIBILITIES * Receive, identify, store, issue, and distribute materials and equipment. * Accurately count inventory and complete computer system entries and documentation. * Tag, prepare, and route shipments using designated carriers. * Pull and stage parts for work orders and production needs. * Perform cycle counts and replenish stock. * Store materials and finished goods in designated locations. * Safely operate a forklift after completing required certification or training. * Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. * Communicate effectively with supervisors, inspectors, and team members. * Maintain dependable attendance to support production schedules. REQUIREMENTS * High school diploma or equivalent. * At least 2 years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment. * Experience with inventory management or warehouse systems. * Familiarity with ERP systems is a strong advantage. * Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. * Ability to accurately count inventory and complete computer-based system entries. * Ability to learn and identify parts, materials, and equipment. * Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. * Ability to follow work orders, safety instructions, and established procedures. * Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds. * Ability to frequently bend, reach, twist, stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods. SHIFT HOURS AND OVERTIME * First shift: 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. * Overtime is scheduled as needed. * Overtime is usually voluntary but may occasionally be mandatory. Employees must be available to work required overtime. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION * This position works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, smoke, and fumes typical of the industry. * Advanced knowledge of inventory control and cycle-counting processes is preferred.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of material handling experience in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency with inventory management systems and the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 60 pounds, are required.
