Job Description
Employer: 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. POSITION SUMMARY: The Freezer Picker is responsible for operating a double reach forklift and/or electric pallet jack to move materials and products throughout the warehouse. This role utilizes RF scan guns to track inventory and is primarily performed in freezer and cold storage environments. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of 6 months forklift experience required * Prior experience using RF scan guns preferred * Must be able to work in varying temperature zones (-10°F to 40°F) * Ability to stand, bend, and walk for 8+ hours per shift * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (30 lbs. consistently) * Must be available to work overtime as needed -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must weigh under 400 lbs. and be no taller than 6’10” to safely operate stock pickers * Ability to work in freezer and refrigerated environments for extended periods * Comfortable with physical, fast-paced work including lifting and repetitive movement Qualifications * Minimum 6 months of forklift experience * Ability to operate a double reach forklift and/or electric pallet jack * Experience using RF scan guns preferred * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (30 lbs consistently) * Comfortable working in temperatures ranging from -10°F to 40°F * Able to stand, bend, and walk for 8+ hours per shift * Willingness to work overtime as needed * Must weigh less than 400 lbs. and be no taller than 6’10” to safely operate stock pickers * Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shift
