Job Description

Employer: Great Plains Mfg Forklift Operator – 1st Shift Salina, KS   Great Plains Manufacturing is looking for a 1st Shift Forklift Operator to join our team in the Material Handling Department at the Salina Construction Equipment (CE) Facility.  This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:  * Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations. * Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy. * Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment used. * Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate. * Load and unload trucks. * Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment. * Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: * Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Understand team concepts and be a strong team player * Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations * Ability to use and understand AS400 software * Ability to read prints and be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc. as required Great Plains Manufacturing, headquartered in Salina, KS, is a proud subsidiary of Kubota with more than 50 years as a Kansas leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of agricultural implements, including seeding, tillage, and landscaping equipment. Requirements

Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a forklift license and have the ability to read prints and use measurement tools. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are required.
