Employer: Cando Rail & Terminals The Logistics Coordinator is a self-starter with strong organizational, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills. Working in a fast-paced, customer and employee-oriented environment, this role is responsible for managing the transactions involved in the movement, tracking, reporting, and storage of railcars. Roles & Responsibilities * Establish and maintain files and records related to railcar movements. * Manage customer and employee inquiries in a courteous, timely, and professional manner. * Prepare and distribute daily reports on yard inventory, railcar loading activity, and inbound/outbound traffic. * Prepare and distribute key performance indicator (KPI) reports. * Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to Planning Supervisors. * Complete month-end procedures, including operational estimates for car switching, storage, revenues, and expenses. * Participate in on-site and off-site customer meetings and engagements. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities * Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with managers, employees, customers, and stakeholders regarding routine and sensitive matters. * Work independently while demonstrating initiative, innovation, sound judgment, and strategic thinking. * Gather, analyze, and interpret information to identify essential business needs. * Prioritize workload effectively while managing multiple projects and conflicting deadlines. * Demonstrate proficiency with office software, spreadsheets, databases, and general accounting practices. * Possess knowledge of railcar movements and accounting procedures within a rail environment. Education & Experience * Post-secondary certification in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset. * 2–5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Rail, Refinery or a similar industry. * Experience with rail industry car inventory management systems is considered an asset. * Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint. * Excellent communication skills. Requirements
Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in the rail, oil and gas, or refinery industries and possess strong proficiency in Microsoft 365. A post-secondary certification in Office or Business Administration is considered an asset.
