Job Description
Employer: Truvant Description POSITION OBJECTIVE: To inspect, package and palletize products to Truvant and customer specifications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete all required paperwork that applies to specified areas and products Understand palletization of each product Identify defects in packages/pouches Monitor weights and case counts Assemble cases either manually or automatically using case making machine Operate a pallet jack Other duties as assigned Requirements EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: One year of hands-on experience in manufacturing preferred but not required On the job training provided SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures Ability to pay close attention to detail Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers Must be able to reach, touch, grasp Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products. Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 50 pounds TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 0% - Optional travel may be offered to support business needs
Requirements
One year of manufacturing experience is preferred but not required, as on-the-job training is provided. Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks including standing for prolonged periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
