Employer: SOMIC AMERICA INC Job DetailsJob Location: Virginia - Wytheville, VA 24382Education Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 HourlyJob Shift: 1st Shift (7am - 3pm)SUMMARY Responsible for the safe, damage free and accurate preparation of all outbound shipments of product based on customer demand. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for communicating quality and shipment concerns to the PC Supervisor to assure 100% on-time delivery is maintained. Prepares customer shipments by pulling correct product, labeling each container with proper identification, verifying product, and wrapping. This position requires a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail, and ability to follow standardized work. Operates forklift or electric hoist to assist in moving finished product. Must have the ability to continually lift, twist, bend and handle up to 30 pounds. Must be a highly motivated, strong team player, and have the ability to function in a deadline driven, fast-paced and changing environment. Must have the ability to work overtime as required to meet customer demand. Must be able to work flexible hours and holidays. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of documents such as manifests, summary reports, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations (Team Meetings) to other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. COMPUTER PROFICIENCY Must have basic understanding of tablet/scanner use for PLEX. Requirements
