Holcim (US) Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor at its cutting edge greenfield plant being constructed in the close knit community of Bloomsdale, MO. This is a unique opportunity to participate in all phases of a new state-of-the-art greenfield quarry, cement plant, and distribution terminal and impact the performance of the worlds largest single line kiln cement plant.

Reporting to the Regional Procurement Manager, we want you to be ready to tackle warehouse optimization projects with demonstrated strategic methodology and management. As a key member of the Ste. Genevieve Plant, you will have an influential impact on plant operations through providing efficient and effective inventory stocking strategies and providing alignment with the procurement organization.

Your specific responsibilities will include..

Setting up the new warehouse in an organized and optimized manner in alignment with our warehouse optimization project
Function as a safety leader in the plant by demonstrating a personal commitment to working safely and ensuring that the plant continues to eliminate work related risks by increased use of hazard recognition techniques; function as a strong advocate and leader in promoting a safe working environment for all employees at the plant; conduct effective monthly safety meetings
Observes safety regulations and established operational procedures at all times.
Coordinate consistent physical inventory and quality controls for all incoming/outgoing materials (issuing and receiving)
Coordinate information-flow with the plant and procurement groups
Maintain security for all stored materials and parts in a clean and orderly manner : ensure compliance to inventory control process and procedures; maintain safe working and operations conditions in the warehouse
Work with all departments to maintain efficiency within the operation as well as control inventory and inventory costs
Coordinate with maintenance department to ensure that all parts packages are coordinated and complete prior to job execution (reservations)
Work to improve store KPI's (inventory accuracy, value, turnover, cycle counts)
Operate and maintain stores inventory, associated equipment and tools
Supervise and provide leadership to Warehouse Technicians
Establish and maintain work priorities within the department
Provide and coordinate daily procurement activities for all wares and spares parts for the plant
Ensure that all purchased materials, equipment and parts flow through store controls, including proper identification as well as checked against purchase orders, supplier documents and invoices. (proper inventory records and control systems)
Responsible for stocking strategies maintaining automatic reordering system for consumable materials and spare parts
Adherence to all environmental requirements, and ensure appropriate storage practices
Occasional travel required
Other activities as requested

Bring Your Skills to the Table:

The ideal candidate would be a solid team player, and possess strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated planning, organizational and project management skills are desired. Posses the ability to work under minimum supervision with solid decision making skills. In addition, the ideal candidate would possess:
Bachelorīs degree in a technical, operations/logistics field preferred or equivalent experience
At least 5 years experience in managing teams within manufacturing or procurement operations preferred.
Experience in warehouse/inventory operations
Knowledge of plant maintenance, equipment, routines and procurement processes and procedures preferred
Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings preferred
Comprehensive understanding of overall maintenance environment
Experience with SAP preferred.
